EVENT SPEAKERS

Samantha DeCaro, PsyD

Dr. Samantha DeCaro, PsyD is the Assistant Clinical Director at The Renfrew Center of Philadelphia and a licensed Clinical Psychologist in the state of Pennsylvania. Dr. DeCaro received her undergraduate degree in Psychology at LaSalle University, and her Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology at the California School of Professional Psychology in San Diego, CA. Dr. DeCaro provides both clinical supervision and training to primary therapists and post-doctoral residents at Renfrew’s residential treatment facility in Philadelphia, PA, and has been featured in the media as an eating disorder expert on various television & radio programs, podcasts, and online magazines.

 

Nikisha Bolden

Nikisha Bolden works in the executive branch of the Federal Government in the regulatory capacity.  She is a Renfrew alumna who struggled with anorexia for 17 years.  Currently, Nikisha is enjoying recovery, a process that propelled her to rebuild her belief system and develop healthy emotional responses.  Nikisha understands the challenges associated with eating disorders and desires to help others find their way out.         

 

Joey Julius

Joey Julius is a former collegiate athlete that was diagnosed with Binge Eating Disorder in 2016. Since then he has given up playing a college sport to focus on the treatment and recovery of his eating disorder. He is currently working to help end the stigma surrounding eating disorders by sharing his story and experiences on the road to staying in recovery.
