Karla Mosley currently portrays Maya Avant Forrester on "The Bold and The Beautiful" - the first transgender lead character on broadcast TV (NAACP Image Award Nomination, 3 GLAAD Awards for the story). Co-creator and star of "Room 8" for CBS.com. Other TV/Film: Angel From Hell, Hart of Dixie, TLC-Discovery Kids’ Hi-5, Law & Order: CI, Gossip Girl, Guiding Light and Burn After Reading. Theater: Expatriate (Culture Project), Travlin' (NYMPH), Dreamgirls with Jennifer Holliday (TUTS, The MUNY), Sophisticated Ladies with Maurice Hines (Arena Stage), Judgment of Fools and How To Raise a Freeman (Ammo). A motivational speaker and brawn model, Ryan has been educating audiences about body image and binge eating disorder since his own diagnosis in 2015. Passionate about raising awareness of binge eating and body image issues as an Ambassador for the National Eating Disorders Association, he has shared his story with the Today Show, Huffington Post, and Teen Vogue, among other outlets. An LGBTQ+ man living in a larger body, Ryan also speaks to teens about masculinity, identity, and body confidence. He is currently working on a book about his and other men's experiences learning to eat mindfully and love themselves just as they are. Dena is an aspiring author who strongly values service and empathy. She is originally from Southern California, but feels equally at home in Chicago, where most of her eating disorder treatment took place. Dena shares her personal journey online in hopes of raising awareness and lessening isolation for individuals living with chronic physical and mental illnesses. Her work has been featured in Women's Health magazine, Self magazine, HelloGiggles, and HerCampus. The things that make her most happy are painting, writing, and dogs.
