Karla Mosley, Actress, NEDA Ambassador

Karla Mosley currently portrays Maya Avant Forrester on "The Bold and The Beautiful" - the first transgender lead character on broadcast TV (NAACP Image Award Nomination, 3 GLAAD Awards for the story). Co-creator and star of "Room 8" for CBS.com. Other TV/Film: Angel From Hell, Hart of Dixie, TLC-Discovery Kids’ Hi-5, Law & Order: CI, Gossip Girl, Guiding Light and Burn After Reading. Theater: Expatriate (Culture Project), Travlin' (NYMPH), Dreamgirls with Jennifer Holliday (TUTS, The MUNY), Sophisticated Ladies with Maurice Hines (Arena Stage), Judgment of Fools and How To Raise a Freeman (Ammo). Karla is the Philanthropic Director of Ammunition Theatre Company, and co-founder of 1:1 Productions which champions women of color in front of and behind the camera.


Ryan Sheldon, @bingeeaterconfessions, NEDA Ambassador

A motivational speaker and brawn model, Ryan has been educating audiences about body image and binge eating disorder since his own diagnosis in 2015. Passionate about raising awareness of binge eating and body image issues as an Ambassador for the National Eating Disorders Association, he has shared his story with the Today Show, Huffington Post, and Teen Vogue, among other outlets. An LGBTQ+ man living in a larger body, Ryan also speaks to teens about masculinity, identity, and body confidence. He is currently working on a book about his and other men's experiences learning to eat mindfully and love themselves just as they are. Dena Angela

Dena is an aspiring author who strongly values service and empathy. She is originally from Southern California, but feels equally at home in Chicago, where most of her eating disorder treatment took place.  Dena shares her personal journey online in hopes of raising awareness and lessening isolation for individuals living with chronic physical and mental illnesses. Her work has been featured in Women's Health magazine, Self magazine, HelloGiggles, and HerCampus. The things that make her most happy are painting, writing, and dogs.


Dawn Delgado, MS, LMFT, CEDS-S

Dawn Delgado, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, and an EMDR trained trauma specialist. She holds both her CEDS, Certified Eating Disorder Specialist and CEDS-S Supervisor designation through the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals.  Dawn has dedicated herself to working with adolescents and adults recovering from eating disorders and co-occurring mental health issues for over 15 years.

In addition, to her lengthy tenure at Center For Discovery, she has directed and been instrumental in developing residential, partial hospitalization/day treatment, intensive outpatient, and transitional living programs. Trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), she incorporates this form of trauma treatment in her private practice, Inspire Evolve, and into the clinical programming at Center For Discovery.  An active member of the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals (IAEDP), she is a former chair member of the Los Angeles chapter. Dawn has a passion for yoga and travel and has served as a consultant to clinics and hospitals in Bali, Singapore, Java, and Dubai.


Torri Efron, LMFT

Torri Efron is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist specializing in the treatment of eating disorders and body dysmorphic disorder. She gained an undergraduate degree in psychology from Loyola Marymount University followed by a Master's Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from the California School of Professional Psychology. Ms. Efron has practiced for the past 5 years from a post-modern approach in her treatment of individuals, families, and group therapy. She has a private practice in Beverly Hills focusing on eating disorders and body image as well as working part time at Center for Discovery. 

She is passionate about positive body image and runs a weekly group using a unique curriculum she created utilizing her education, work experience, as well as her own personal journey to making peace with her own body. Ms. Efron looks forward to continuing to combine her education as well as her own path to eating disorder recovery to work with those affected by eating disorders and raise awareness about the negative impact of poor body image.
